SSK Law was founded by Shiva Shirazi-Kia, a corporate and finance lawyer with experience advising borrowers, lenders, businesses and entrepreneurs on secured lending, real estate financing, venture debt, corporate transactions and related commercial matters.

Before founding SSK Law, Shiva practised at Aird & Berlis LLP, Miller Thomson LLP and Fasken, and articled at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Her background includes work on financing, corporate, real estate and transactional matters for financial institutions, private lenders, borrowers, companies and entrepreneurs.

Shiva’s practice focuses on sophisticated financing transactions, particularly secured lending, while continuing to advise on the corporate, real estate and transactional matters that support those financings. She assists with transaction management from engagement through closing, including due diligence, financing documentation, corporate approvals, legal opinions, execution, funding coordination and post-closing deliverables.
